Singapore Student's Pass
Foreign Students who have been accepted and offered a place to pursue full-time study at a Government, Government-aided or independent school in Singapore will require a Student's Pass.
The courses you will be attending must be full-time. Part-time, evening, and weekend classes do not qualify.
You are exempt from holding a Student Pass if:

You are exempt from holding a Student Pass if:
- Your course lasts less than 30 days.
- You have an Immigration Exemption Order. Immigration Exemption Orders are issued to diplomats, military personnel, and their family members.
- You are in Singapore with a Dependent’s Pass and you want to study at an institution that is not at university level.
Student's Pass Application
Foreign Students can only apply after they have been admitted into a Singapore university. They will not be able to continue with the application without the SOLAR application number stated on the acceptance letter from the university/polytechnic. The application must be submitted at least one month before the start of the semester, but no earlier than two months.
If your application is approved, you will receive an In-Principle Approval (IPA) letter, which states all the documents you need to bring to the ICA building in Singapore when you travel there to collect your Student Pass.

- Your personal information, including the list of countries / places you have previously resided in, your educational background, employment history and financial support
- Your parents’, spouse's, and/or siblings’ personal information (if applicable)
- Your residential address and contact details in Singapore
- Your email address
- Your recent, passport-sized, digital, color photograph taken within the last three months.
- Foreign-born applicants aged 12 years 0 day or below, are required to submit their vaccination information to Health Promotion Board (HPB) with effect from 1 February 2019.
