Singapore Dependant Pass

The Dependant’s Pass (DP) allows the immediate family member of a work visa holder to live in Singapore. To qualify for dependant privileges, the sponsoring work visa holder must earn a minimum monthly salary of SGD 6,000.

Holders of the Dependent Pass are eligible to study in Singapore without the need to apply for student pass, can hold shares of any Singapore-registered company, and can work in Singapore. Your potential employer will apply a Letter of Consent (LOC) on your behalf.

Validity of DP and LOC are tied to the validity of your spouse's or parent's work visa.

Who can apply for Dependant's Pass?

Immediate family members include Spouse (must be legally married to the work pass holder) and unmarried children under 21 years old (including legally adopted children).

Documentation required from you for Dependant's Pass (DP) Application

• Copy of the personal particulars page of the candidate’s passport
• For children who share a passport with their parent, you must also submit the parent’s personal particulars page
• Copy of Marriage certificate for legally married spouse
• Copy of Birth certificate stating the parent's names / Copy of adoption order or other relevant documents

Note that any non-English documents need to be endorsed / translated by an official Singapore translator.
